Marek Kalbarczyk - a blind mathematician and computer scientist, a graduate of Warsaw University. He is the founder of Altix and the Chance for the Blind Foundation, now known as the Chance Foundation - We Are Together. His activities are not limited to the world of technology. This respected publicist is an author of guidebooks and fiction works.
His professional and private life is a patchwork of interests and passions that go beyond the typical. Although he is primarily known as an innovator and manager, areas such as music, history, politics and culture are equally important to him. He is always striving to acquire new knowledge, as evidenced by his statement that he “can never be educated enough and always wants to know more.”
Marek Kalbarczyk is also very self-critical, openly admitting that although he dreamed of a career as a professional musician or philosopher, he considers these goals unattained. However, this doesn't stop him from pursuing new achievements and enjoying the satisfaction of realizing his dreams, which primarily include his family, his company and his foundation.
At the Chance Foundation - We Are Together, he serves as social president of the board. As its founder and manager from day one, he has been involved in its activities on a volunteer basis, while at the same time, through his company Altix, supporting the foundation as its main sponsor. His commitment and diversity of talents inspire others, showing what a difference one person can make in the lives of many.
