Since its founding in 1992, our organization has aimed to advise and support people with disabilities. Initially, we focused on the group of blind and visually impaired people, as reflected in the name Chance for the Blind Foundation. However, in 2023 we returned to our original mission to support a broad spectrum of people with special needs, in a modern way. In response to changes in the public space, particularly under the “Accessibility Plus” program, we have expanded our activities to include support for all citizens who face difficulties in their daily lives.
Our beneficiaries are people with various disabilities, the elderly, debilitated by illness, in need of both professional advice and encouragement in the form of a kind word. We strive not only to integrate them with the rest of society, but also to create a space for them to spend time together in a friendly atmosphere. We remain specialists in the field of modern rehabilitation of the blind and visually impaired, but we are aware that help is also necessary for people who may appear to be fully functional at first glance. Our beneficiaries also include relatives of people with disabilities, employees of institutions cooperating with our community, government officials, the media, donors, volunteers, citizens of Poland and other countries who are involved in our activities or need our help.
Our foundation strives to be a support for anyone facing life challenges, offering both specialized rehabilitation services and daily emotional and social support.
